Mailice and Pusha T have resurged as a directive of how music should be. No interludes. No fillers. It’s just plain rap, 12 non-stop tracks of consistently full-proof rhymes.Fist on my glorified list, “Trill” exercises a mixture of techno synthesizers, tribal drums and hard-hitting snares. The hook is flawless. Malice makes perfection easy with lines like, “So many different things make me trill / start with that B with wings over the grill / maybe how my way with words make me mils / or maybe its my way with birds digital scales.”

Slim Thug joins in on “Wamp Wamp” and Malice raps boldly over steel drums and congas, “17 a brick / run and tell ‘em that / I got the Wamp Wamp / when I move it it’s still damp / mildewish I heat it turns bluish / it cools to a tight wad, the Pyrex is Jewish / I get paper, it seems I get foolish / Take it to Jacob and play “Which hues the bluest?”

The fun continues with tracks “Ride Around Shining” and “Dirty Money” which share underlining old-school break beats. On “Hello New World” Pusha T finds “floetry.” Pharrell sings the hook and somewhere in the middle a downtown Norfolk, VA native appears pleading “[Why Can’t] Hustlers come together with hustlers.”

“Keys Open Doors” is prophetic and gritty. A light triangle-like sound jingles as choir voices echo over a repetitive cowbell. Pusha T doesn’t stop, he delivers, “Like Cham, Ice-P is the Don Dadda / Open the Frigidaire, 25 to life in here / So much white you might think ya Holy Christ is near / Throw on your Louis V millionaires to kill the glare / Ice trays? Nada! All you see is pigeons paired / The realest shit I ever wrote, not Pac inspired / Its crack pot inspired, my real niggaz quote / Bitch never cook my coke! Why? Never trust a ho with your child.”

“Ain’t Cha” and “Chinese New Year” bring the album to a close, but don’t dare to slow its momentum. If you haven’t heard already, it may already be too late to save you.

“Hell Hath No Fury” is the freebased rap drug of choice.
